Amir Khan in the U.S. war on July 23, but his opponent will not be American WBO and WBC title holder Timothy Bradley.
Khan fight in July in a comprehensive take on Bradley's hope, with Khan the WBA light-welterweight champion, but demanded payment of Bradley competition thrown in doubt.
Bradley has been given 24 hours to decide whether that Khan will not fight, and Bolton's golden boy boxer promoters already are considering their options.
Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said: "There are many A-list fighters willing to face Amir as they consider him the top fighter in the 140lbs division.
"Whatever happens, Amir will be fighting in the US on July 23 and we should be able to name an opponent in the next seven days."
